Dates:
June 27th, 2025
July 11th, 2025
Meet our team
Collin attended Monona Grove High School, where he was a multi-sport athlete, competing in football, basketball, baseball, and track & field. He received a Preferred Walk-On offer from UW-Madison and joined the Badger football team in 2017. By 2019, he became the starting kicker as a redshirt sophomore, finishing his career with 32 starts and ranking as the 15th highest-scoring Badger of all time. Giving back to the community has always been a priority for Collin. As a member of the UW Football team and W-Club, he was actively involved in programs such as Badgers Give Back, Special Olympics, Ronald McDonald House, and Wisconsin Upside Down. Collin’s vision for NextUp is to strengthen community ties by bringing together athletes, coaches, families, and fans to celebrate the game and foster pride in the 608. Through strategic partnerships with charitable organizations, he aims to create meaningful impact, raising awareness and financial support for causes that matter.
Marty Strey was raised in nearby Sun Prairie where he played football, basketball, and golf before graduating from Sun Prairie High School in 2018. Marty walked-on to UW-Madison’s football team and played for the Badgers from 2018-2023 where he was named captain of the team in his final season. Leadership and community service have been two things that were instilled in Marty from a young age by both his parents and his sports coaches. His passion for giving back to the community was fueled further through his time in college as a member of Badgers Give Back - an organization that allows student-athletes to leverage their platforms to serve the community in various ways. Marty continues to study and spread leadership principles by speaking to various groups ranging from corporate teams to high school student-athletes. His hope for NextUp is to provide a medium to showcase the talented football programs in the Madison area, promote the importance of community service, and create an avenue for student-athlete exposure in their hopes of pursuing a collegiate athletic career.
Our Mission:
NextUp aims to showcase the talent of South Central Wisconsin’s student-athletes by hosting an invitational 7-on-7 tournament, while raising awareness and funds for a cause close to the founders’ hearts. Through this event, we strive to promote athletic excellence, community engagement, and the values of hard work and integrity both on and off the field.
Our Partner:
At NextUp 7v7, we're more than just a football camp—we’re a community that believes in using our platform to make a difference. That’s why we’re proud to announce our partnership with the Miracle League of Dane County, an incredible organization that creates opportunities for children with physical and cognitive disabilities to experience the joy of playing baseball.
For our upcoming NextUp 7v7 Tournament,
100%
of the proceeds will be donated to the Miracle League. Their mission to foster inclusion, self-confidence, and community aligns perfectly with our values of growth, support, and opportunity for every young athlete—on and off the field.
By participating in or supporting our tournament, you’re not just helping athletes compete and grow—you’re also giving back to an amazing cause right here in our Dane County community.
